I think I saw, I did, I did..

I woke up bout 530am this morning. I guess I slept right through again. I went out looking at stars. First attempt, I was kinda lost, dunno where to look. On the bright side, the sky was beautiful this morning. Went back to my room, checked for my virtual sky map and look for a more specific location. http://www.astronomy.com/asy/stardome/default.aspx. With specific location and time it'll show you how your sky looks like. So I looked for gemini since it's geminid shower. I've doing so for the leonid but disappointed. I got my location and head out again. Trying to find for gemini, i can't really identify though, but i kinda guess it's that direction, NW. Pretty close. At least my eye will scope down to a smaller area than a hemisperical sky. Waited, and waited. Stared and stared. I saw this airplane flying by. With its blinking light.. blip blip blip... as it passed by. Still no sign of anything. Then I saw the first, I'm not really sure though but i guess i was. Whatever it is, I'll just see and then figure out later. It's just a little dot, like a star but it's moving slowly. Is it ? Or is it not? I dunno. Probably it's just the stars in my mind after staring for so long.

Then I saw another, same little one heading towards another direction. So I guess it is not the stars in my mind, it is something moving, and moving and moving. The first one disappeared after sometime but this kept going on and on. I guess, a plane would blink so this isn't a plane. It isn't the normal meteor, but i think it's prob is one of them. Prob at different height and doesn't burns as bright. And continue waiting. It was quite sometimes before I see the third. Just standing there staring at the sky is just tiring. I wanted to give up until I saw the third one and so I stayed on a little. Again, slowly flying by. Again, there couldn't be so many planes up the sky at this time. So i'm more confidence that it is what i think it is. As I watch it passing by, zoom... I saw a big one. That's what I normally saw in the pictures. Happy I was, that was a big one. Still not too sure bout the little ones, but i'm sure bout the big one. It was big but it was just less than a second. And I waited, neighbours' light started lighting up. One after another. Until the one next door who lighted up his porch. It's way too bright and glaring so I came back in. Satisfied.. Not sure bout the little ones, but i'm sure of the big one.

Solving mysterious codes..Success??

Sometimes working in the lab is fun, when everything was just so interesting and smooth going. That's the fun part. But there are times when work gets complicated and so messed up like searching a needle in the sea. That is what i've been facing this two weeks. All i see is just numbers and codes and more codes. Thinking how to convert or changing it into something understandable and representing the actual data. Looking it from left to right, right to left, up to down, down to up, column by column, row by row, character by character. Hmm.. all I get most of the day is just @_@ a blank look on my face, nothing in my head.

Today was a little better. After consulting my prof, few words from him was really enlightening. And I solved the mysterious codes. Happy!! ^_^ What a relief and joy when things go smoothly. But .......... i found out after a while, i need to be listening to this language. Hmm.. Now my next problem is how to make it to speak this language. Something which I'll prob need to crack my head for the next few days, prob weeks... For now, bedtime.. Nitez. Need to give my brain a break..

10 days to Christmas!

3 more working weeks to go. And it's all 4 working days. Isn't it a great way to end the year. I'm back in campus this morning. Took a non usual bus back. Shamisha holiday i think, not too bad. No complaints. Since KKKL seems to be cutting off the night trips so i'll need to find for other bus services to get me back to PB. Anyway just a relaxing weekend back in mlk. Meet law, wah7, and loke. CY was back but was unavailable. but will be meeting him up soon in sg. Spend time at home and with agnes was great. A little bit shopping, wanted to watch some movies but was rather packed.

Us in Kenny Rogers

It's Xmas next week, and the festive mood is in the air. Everywhere there's xmas deco, xmas songs, xmas sales, etc etc. I'm looking forward to Sg Xmas this year and also time to eat 'tong yun' which indicates CNY is coming too.

Anyway, been facing the comp for whole day trying to crack some code. Now i feel my head is going to crack apart before I even get the codes cracked. Also a sore throat is also making my world upside down. Better get some med or 'pi pa kau'. Must get myself healed to fully enjoy the holidays.  Counting down...

Santa enjoying a summer vacation in mlk

All i see now are just 1s and 0s. Try crack this. 01101001001000000110001101110010011000010110001101101011011001010110010000100000011101000110100001100101001000000110001101101111011001000110010100100001

The last month of the year 2009!

It's December again, last month of the year. Another 21 days to a brand new year. I've been slacking on my blog as usual which is not good. I must try keep updating even though it's just a short paragraph. Hmm.. Anyway, wanted to post this up for a while.. dunno wut took me so long. Prob some loads of work lately.. I've been sleeping early too, and waking up early. hehe..

Just a little on the race, PBIM. Though I was way behind time, could be the worst ever, but still i'm happy that i finished. I was more worried if i couldn't finish and end up hopping on the sweeper bus. I managed to survived half way, but struggled the other half. sigh.. Still i finished within qualifying time. What a relief. On the overall race itself, i would say the organiser did quite some improvements, timing chip, drinks station. But still there's room for improvement, finishing line.

Timing chip tied on to my shoes. It has runner details and mark runner's timing as it passes through the sensor. In short, it measures our running time more accurately.

Agnes was here last week. We went penang, met up with the archi gang and did some shopping. We actually rented a little kancil to drive up to penang. It was a little noisy car, with those big loud exhaust. I wonder why some ppl can stand those kind of noise driving in it. It wasn't super powerful, just noisy. LoL. It's kinda fun driving around in one of those noisy little car, where everyone would look at you when you drive by. vroomm~~

We went to the new Penang Time Square but nothing much there, and we saw 2 guys, thought of asking them for direction, but seems like they were lost themselves. Looking at one of them carrying such heavy stuff, I lent him a hand.

The 2 lost guys

We ordered set meals and they come with appetizer, main course, dessert and a drink.

My appetizer, salad

My Main, grilled chicken

Agnes' Appetizer, Mushroom soup

Agnes' Main, Fish and Seafood

And ice cream for dessert and a cup of tea or coffee. Coffee for me of course! The food were just okay, probably an average.

The day after we went to Jusco, Prai and they had nice decorations too. Not bad.

The big lovely present

I was trying to untie and see what's in it.

This looks good, prob I should sneak it home

They even had Christmas Trees, Lil' Frosty and Papa Frosty made out of recycled egg trays. Good idea. Thinking of the environment. It's something everyone should be concern about the environment, else in future we'd only have Frosty made out of egg trays.

That sure brings out the Christmas mood in everyone. Christmas is just round the corner.. mmm.. Looking forward this Christmas, will be celebrating it in Sg. Hope it'd be much more fun.

Lately i found a new game to play from popgame. BAD influence from my HOUSEMATES. lol. It's called "Plants and Zombies". Go google it up. You'll see more details from there. I'm just too lazy to explain.

Some screenshots from the game.

It's been a month..

Yea yea.. i've not been blogging again.. 1001 excuses i can come up with, so don't bother. Life's been just okay. I totally lost track of where was I in the blog. oops. anyway, been busy with my research and studies. been busy in the lab doing testing and other experiments. Been back for deepavali and visited Rajesh as always. Vig was in India this deepavali so didn't manage to visit him.

His mum serves the best puree ever. I just can't resist myself to have more

CYin came down to mlk ( very last min call ) with her friends ( winnie & darius ).. tsk tsk tsk.. Manage to hang out a little and had diner before they left.

That's a photo taken by her Fujifilm Instax Mini. Looks cool.

Lian, 小3, MC and Simsim came down the day after and stayed over for a day. As usual, cendol, satay celup, chicken rice ball, dim sum jonker, jetty.

This was the only photo I found in group.. Still havent upload yet.

So i've been a tourguide for that deepavali weekend. Tiring but fun and glad to meet up with friends.

Also, my family and I went seoul garden for dinner to celebrate Jack's birthday. Since my bus was at 10pm that night, so after dinner I left for the bus station and had to miss her birthday cake. Anyway, just a belated birthday wish. Hugs and Kisses. Study hard for exams which will just be around the corner.

I've been officially registered as a Masters Student in USM.

My new tag I luv the background

Yippie finally everything is going smoothly n i've received my first fellowship payment too. Yay.. no need to eat grass already.. However that means work work and work and more work. Mustn't be caught lazing around again.

Life back in campus is rather boring sometimes, working is one way to keep myself occupied. Other than that, luckily I had some great housemates to hang around. One of the weeks Jo brought her Coco over. He's so cute but he'll stick to Jo a lot till Jo had to sleep with him in the hall for that whole week. Pity her. Having Coco around was fun. He's so adorable. I'm gonna miss that little guy. Hope Jo will bring him back again someday. Hehe.

That's Coco
My knee's not feeling too good, which is bad as the PBIM is just 2weeks away. I doubt I'll be able to complete it this year. =( I'm not sure what's happening but I felt a little pain during run last week and hence I cut down the distance. But yesterday, I felt it a little but insisted on going for more. I kept on going but I finally came to a stop. I knew I couldn't go on anymore and I din't wanna push further. I had to limp my way back home. I try not to put to much work on it now but I do have a little hard time walking for now. Sigh.. I'm still wondering if i should go on for the race or I should just skip it. But I really don't feel like coming back in the sweeping bus and also not trying. We'll see.

Seohli came by yesterday too and we had breadfast together. She was waiting for P before they head off to Ipoh. Later that night, Vig n I went Jusco after dinner. Hehe. Went shopping around a little and then went for a movie. Just few movies available, Phobia2, Jennifer's Body, Ninja, Law abiding citizen and Inglorious Basterds. We ended up choosing Ing-Bas.

The show was practically switching from French, German, and English which is quite interesting to me as i'm learning French. Went for supper after the movie and return at almost 3am.

I also realised that it's study week for the undergrads this week which reminds me of those times when I would be in the lib with other coursemates, discussing questions, answers, syllabus etc etc. That was half year ago. Now that i'm no longer an undergrad, on the 2nd last day of study week i'm here enjoying myself. Hehe. Anyway goodluck to those having exams.

It's been raining in the afternoon today. I've finally watched Angels and Demons. Love it. Since it was raining I din't bother to go out for dinner and just cooked some instant noodles. Feeling a little tired and sleepy. Partly due to last night and partly due to the weather. Guess I'll go to bed early today. It'll be a brand new week tomorrow and will be going back next weekend. Looking forward.

Nitezz..

Another sunday..

It's a sunday! Woke up at 7am, went for a jog. It's nice to have a nice jog early in the morning which i've not been doing for quite some time. A less traffic environment, so the air is pretty clean and fresh with all the nice green trees around ( something which is abundant here ), also the sight of greens are just all around, you definitely feel so close to the nature.. lol.. anyway, i should start kicking myself more and force myself to wake up early more often to do more jogs. I registered for Penang Bridge Half Marathon again this year on 22 November. So i've another reason to keep me motivated. ( i hope it does )

Here's the route for this year. It's a little shorter compared to last year.
After the jog did a little cleaning at home before going out for dim sum breakfast with my housemates. Did some laundry too to prevent them from stacking into a big pile which I know it will if i don't do it today. Sat in front of my desk, facebook a little, check mails, and now scribble a little on my blog. Weather seems a little cloudy today, i duno why but i kept stressing on this everywhere. Perhaps i'm just hoping for it to rain. But haven't seen a single drop till now.

I've been listening to Hitz.fm since sitting in front of my comp. Two of my favourite songs.

Feel like taking a nap. *Yawn*
Also mooncake festival's coming soon. Wonder how will it be this year.

The long holiday is ending soon

I safely arrived in KL sentral by KTM at about 530am. It wasn't that bad, i would say. The seat was pretty comfy, reasonable, not too bumpy, the air-cond was working but the lights were on all the time ( i can accept that ), was a little noisy ( i can accept that ), lots ppl walking in and out was a little distracting though. When you start sleeping and keep have this feeling of ppl walking by, esp if you are sitting by the aisle. I was awoken few times due to that. The conductor came in somewhere in the middle of the trip to check my tickets when i was half way in dreamland. Luckily I had it placed nicely before hand. One thing good about taking train is that you'll end up stopping in kl central early in the morning rather than in front of maybank around pudu. kl sentral was so much better, nicer, cleaner, safer, with toilet and places to sit around and wait for time. They even have McD.
So was back home enjoying myself relaxing. Din't get to eat tupat. sob. Just stayed home most of the time. But still manage to go shopping, went mamak, went dota, went satay celup, din't go for movies though ( not much nice show available ). However the nicest things to do is still staying home with family and lazing around. Hehe. Need to pack up a little and get ready to get back tonite.

Balik Kampung.. woo~ oo~ oo~ balik kampung..

Yay! It's friday again. I'm going back home again tonite! I'm a little excited cos I'm taking a train back. I've always wanted to do so but just din't. Partly because it's slower and it stops in KL. But this time thanks to Kiat who will pick my up and balik kampung together so I decided to take the train. Further more, taking train saves a lot more especially when your pocket feels empty. I got my tickets to KL for only rm18. Wee~~

But..... I wonders how the service will be. Will it be comfortable enough? Will I end up being awake the whole night? I've taken train in Vietnam, but that was like the soft sleeper. This is like hard sitter. Quite contrast though. So I hope KTM won't disappoint me..
Anyway just gonna go finish up some stuffs in school and get ready to go back.

Also.... a shoutout from me to all those celebrating this festive season.
Selamat Hari Raya !!

A relaxing swim @ Jawi Resort

It's been a while since i last went for a swim. Vig suggested, so here we go again. Had a little breakfast before heading out on our bicycle. Another cycling detour to Jawi Golf Resort. The morning air was great. My bicycle however had some prob along the way. Struggled a little for a while but we were close to our destination so still manage to reach there not long after.
The pool was considerably big. It has several sections all connected together. I've only been there once or twice. We swam for a while, stood under a manmade waterfall. Feels great to stand under the waterfall. Just like a free massage. They even have a spa pool where you can enjoy body massage while relaxing. We stayed in the water till the sun was right above us. I wished we could have stayed longer. Took a shower and went for lunch before going home.
A nap would be great after swimming but it was rather hot in the afternoon and i ended up watching my TVB drama ( burning flames III ) and studied a little french. I guess I could have sunburnt myself a little today. I could feel my whole body emitting UV like the sun. I feel like a burning sun. hehehe. In the evening went Pasar Ramadhan with Vig and AS in PB. I didn't buy much, just some kuih and a pack of drink which already cost me rm3. I know I could end up spending a lot more there so i tried limiting myself. I ended up going back home and cook maggi.
At night continued with my drama and just finished it. Bedtime again.

Hmm.. still wondering what to do tomorrow. It's always boring during the weekends.. If only I had a transport....

Stunned by lameness

Was I really that bad in electronic circuits?? Or was it some ppl trying to push the blame on others?? Prob statement, towards the night before the main event, something went wrong. It's like a magical ball, where u see lots of electric charges in it, when u touch the ball, a concentrated line of charge will be formed. It's been running the whole day, trials after trials, everything was fine. There's this fan, how it's being related to the ball? => Both are plug to the same extension.
So, the ball sort of broken down. We don't see the electric lines in it anymore, it just blinks once instead of being fully on the whole time. So to our deduction the ball could have over heated, some circuit problem. So we contacted the person incharged for the ball and the fan. They were both suppose to be part of some tricks. So we told the person of the prob bla bla bla.. To his deduction, he said that we shouldn't have switched on the fan. He TOLD us not to switch the fan on when it is not being used ( like he did, no one heard a word ). And so due to switching on the fan the ball got broken down. Erm... hello.. I may not like much of electronics, but some simple knowledge or even common sense tells me that by switching on the fan does not have anything to do with the circuit of the ball. Okay prob to some extent the fan might draw some amount of current away but, that deduction of his was just too.. absurd i would say.
Electric ball broken because the fan was switched on. They were not even connected on the same plug. Geez.. such lame excuses he could actually think off. I totally don't see the logic behind it.. Zzz..

A tiring Merdeka weekend..

I saved a long post on my Sg trip but i think it's just way too crappy so I just scrap that post away and came up with this. However, Sg trip was great, visited NUS, NTU, seen some of their great stuffs, crashed at CY's place after splitting up with the group ( thx to him I had a great trip to Sg ), crashed at his club's steamboat ( met a bunch of cool n great ppl ), had supper with another group of his friends, met XinYu from Shanghai and she joined us touring around to lil India, went to some Japanese Festival ( sort of Bon Odori tat we have here ), met up with some exclassmates ( Chiet,Eeling,Shaun,QingZhuang ). It was great meeting up. I wish i could do that more often. Met up with the group on sun, went to botanical garden, caught in the rain, got back to malaysia at night, and reached back campus the next morning. Singapore was just fun.

Going back to M'sia
Last fri went over to penang to spend the merdeka weekend. Hmm. The merdeka spirit is just not really felt anymore. I guess it's not just me. Probably it's just not that big celebration this year. I went over to Png Island on fri evening and hanged out with Coat ( a thai exchange student ). He's flying of on the day after. So I hanged over with him, brought him around for early dinner, later had more dinner with his group of thai friends there in the main campus as a farewell dinner for him. At night Henry came over and we went for supper, crashed in with him in Bsuite. Sat morning we had breakfast before Henry left. I then sent Coat off at the airport later in the afternoon. I'll go visit him someday in Bangkok.

Me,coat and his friends

Me and Coat @ Airport

Agnes was suppose to reached in the evening but reached earlier than expected. Hang out at Eric's went Sakae for dinner and walk around Queensbay. Met up with her senior, Nini and CK at Kapitan and chatted till 1am. Stayed over at Nini's place.
Sun morning had breakfast at Greenlane and later went to Gurney plaza. Sales was all around. I can't believe it, I had a shopping spree again. 3shirts 2vests 5pairs of socks. Then went tesco shopped for some groceries to prepare sandwich for BBQ dinner that night. Had lots of food, stuffed for the night with fried bee hoon ( CK, Gwen ) our sandwich ( me, agn, ni, km, wy ) salad ( yc,serf ) drinks + accessories ( ky, st ) desert ( pp ), of course the chicken wings, sotong, potatoes etc ( eric, fm, wh, ivy, fong ). Everyone did their little bit and succesfully enjoyed the dinner. Later of course with that many ppl gathered together we went cc for 2rounds of dota. Went had a cup of tea before heading back to nini's. Reached back at 1am.

The whole gang

Mon was merdeka day. Happy Merdeka!! I hardly felt anything. I dun see much flag. I din't even heard the national song on that day. Woked up at 8, agnes' bus was suppose to be at 1030am. While having breakfast only she checked her tickets and found out that it was wrongly bought. It was on Tues ( the day after ). So yet another in Penang. Hanged around at home, on9 a bit, relaxed and rested, played with nini's niece. Such adorable and lovely. Went Sunshine to buy some stuffs and suppose to repair my about to tear of shoes but it cost like rm18 for the stiches. I wasn't willing to pay that amount of money and so i just bought Superglue and had the whole tube in it. rm3.50 and it did great holding my shoes together and got me safely back to campus. They had some icecream promotion there, everything was half priced. So we had a cone of 98% fat free icecream and a cup of 98% fat free yogurt ice blend. That was just so great and cost only rm3.10. I could just have more of that but was rather stuffed though. Head to queensbay for UP after dinner @kimgary. Nice food, great movie. The guys called up for another round of dota since we were still around. Reached back right at midnight.

isn't she lovely and adorable

Tues morning we woked up early, packed our stuff and waited for rapid to bring us to the bus station. To my surprise it just took us about 20mins to reach. Waited at the bus station till 10am then i had to head back to USM to take a shuttle back. And we both safely boarded the bus and headed back.

Next Mon's holiday again. I think for a few states , i'm not sure which but penang is one of them. So i'm considering of going home if there ain't much to do. *grins*
Gotta start kicking myself to start working before being kicked around.

Happy Merdeka Malaysia ( greetings from G hotel )
