On my way to Linz

I'm attending a conference in Linz, Austria on Small Engine Technologies with my prof. We travelled down to KL the night before to KLIA. Our flight will take us to Munich, Germany where we will then take a train to Linz. Our flight transits in Bangkok, and here I am, with limited internet connection trying to get online and pass sometime before the next flight which is in 2hrs time. Flight from KL-Bangkok was just 1hr 40mins rather short. Served us breakfast, omellette, sausage, croissant and coffee.

Looking out from inside, lots of transfer buses used to transfer passengers from the plane to the arrival hall.

Krabi Day 2

We chose a more relaxing tour for the 2nd day. A van came to pick us up from the hotel at about 830am. It started of with a visit to the Tiger Cave. It's really tough to recognize the direction. With all the thai writings and signboards everywhere. I can only roughly guess where we were but not the actual location or address. Upon arrival, I didn't really notice the tigers though. They had a huge pagoda like, with a goddess of mercy in it.

Besides that, they also have 2 routes, a short and simple one to some caves and a big tree.
It didn't specify if this is the tree, it looks big so we assumed it is.
The other was a 1000+ steps uphill climb to the top of the hill with a temple up there. We chose the first, wanted to try the second on but too bad we were insufficient time and only manage to climb about half way up. I think scenary up there would be nice. We met some Malaysians there, pretty cool, also a friendly Australian couple.

The Aussie couple whom had the same tour as we do, so we keep seeing them all along

Then next stop was a hot spring. It was a rather small natural hot spring as it could hardly fit more than 10 person i guess, the water was about 40C. We just dipped ourselves for 15 to 30 min. Later we had lunch which was provided by the tour at a little restaurant at the entrance of the hot spring park. Some delicious local thai food was what we've been looking for. An unlimited refill of dishes and rice to keep us filled up.

After lunch, we went to our next destination, emerald pool. From its name, we could guessed that the pool has emerald colour like water in it. The emerald colour was due to some minerals in the water. We did swam in the pool for a little while but the clouds were getting near and soon came the rain. We dried ourselves up and headed back to the van. However, rain came pouring and got us wet. As we thought the tour was over, the guide told us that we still have another elephant trekking to go. But, we were a little wet and cold, and a little too tired. So we gave it up and headed back to the hotel for a nice hot bath and changing into dry clothes instead.

Later that night, we walked down the street which is about 1km away. There are lots of shops, restaurants, bars, crowds, mostly for tourist though. We just picked a random restaurant for dinner.
Some food we had that night, padthai, goreng pisang with ice cream, stir fried chicken with cashew nuts

End of day 2.
