Happy Labour's Day!!

For the first time I'm actually appreciating this holiday. I didn't know working is so tiring. Every morning I goes to work at 740am and reach back home at 630pm. After a nice cool shower and dinner it'll be already 9pm. Sitting down in front of my comp reading some articles or watching a movie then it'll be almost time for bed. 11pm I'm already yawning. I couldn't remember when i actually slept so early. But nowadays almost every night I'll be in bed by 12. Weekend was great. After 5 hard days, finally 2 days of break. Tomorrow's Labour Day, normally it's just another public holiday. But this time, it's an extra bonus holiday after long working hours. It's great to have a holiday. Can have a rest, too bad fri's not holiday, if not i can go back home M'cca.
Still though training is tiring but i'm still enjoying it ..

To all working people out there.
Happy Labour's Day.

Long journey ..

Fuh.. Tiring I was. Drove my way back to Penang last thursday. It was raining cats and dogs all the way after Ayer Keroh toll till about Shah Alam. I took off about 4pm. Due to the heavy rain i had to drive even slower to almost 60km/h.
No choice. Visual constraint, I could hardly see the car in front of me. There was even once a splash of water from the car in front on my windscreen totally blinded my sight for a few seconds. I was really scared, don't know if i should slow down or continue at the same speed. I was worried the car in front of me might slow down. At the same time i'm worried about the car behind of me who would have a few secs of blinded sight who might come knocking at my back. Luckily nothing happen. Safely. Continued my journey all the way till Tapah R&R for dinner and a break.
Then the journey continues, slow and steady since it was already dark and going up and down hills. Finally reached back to campus at about 2200hrs. Packed all my stuffs and headed to island. Reached there already pass midnight. Slept for few hours and got ready for another expedition..
...to be continued....

It has Begun...

Today was the first day of me stepping into Dufu, where I'll be spending my 2 months holiday.
Woke up about 645 today, quickly got myself prepared for a long day. By 7.45am Ryan n I reached the company. It's very normal being early on the first day. Hehe. But I think even for the following days we still need to be early, as we need to scan our fingerprint for attendance every morning. 8am to 6pm daily, five days week, luckily.

We met 2 more coursemates there but they'll be working in another dept. We were given briefing and a little orientation by Mr Khairul, one of the HR officer about everything we need to know, from the company's background to rules and regulations to be followed. We were given a ear plug, to protect our ears as we'll be working in noisy environment.

Next we met our Supervisor, FT Tan, a very nice guy indeed. Briefed us on our work schedule and brought us around the plant. We'll be attached to the autolathes dept. We were given our first task to sort out some products and to separate those rejected. Really strained my eyes on that. Luckily it wasn't that much. Then we learn a little of doing more inspections, checking dimensions, micrometer, drop gauge and profiling.

Lunch time was long waited. Took our lunch in the canteen, luckily not too pricey. Took a little break before heading back to work. After lunch was lots of readings. Manuals after manuals. We read on how to use a CNC lathe. And more on the programming part using G-codes. It was really hard struggling through that. Really got us sleepy. Trying hard to keep awake. -_-
After a long day, time to go back was the best time of all. Hehe. Here I am now enjoying a little rest at home. But there's still report to do. Maybe just postpone it first.

...the end and the beginning..

Just when i thought i could put down everything and have a nice holiday after my hectic semester and exams, I found out that i've new worries and things to attend to. The major one was definitely Industrial Training. Well, time flies when i still remember during first year when we went to the IT exhibition by those seniors back then, now I'll be the one in their position and would be the one presenting it to fellow juniors in the next semester. Everyone got dispersed mostly back to their hometown as the could have more time at home and can save a little more. I have no idea how i ended up in Penang, but it okay for me. At least i have some friends around and also Agnes. As for her she'd be starting work soon in Penang too. ^_^

Well, back to my industrial training. I have a colleague at least, Ryan. Hehe. At least i need not be alone. We'll be working in Industries Sdn Bhd. I don't really know what it does actually, something like precision machining. But definitely nothing related to making tofu, yong tau foo or anything close. Anyway, some seniors was saying that we'd be working like technicians. In my mind I was thinking er.. ok i guess that sounds reasonable, what else do you expect to do, sitting around like a boss? at least it's better than serving coffee and photostating documents. Well i better not say anymore. It's sort of like a curse, the more you think will not happen will actually happen. Hehe. I wouldn't mind though for the part being the boss.

my soon to be training company

To all my fellow friends out there having their training too, good luck and all the best, Enjoy your training and learn as much as you can.

Home Sweet Home..

Finally, everything's over. And i'm back home.Glad, yet there are more to come. I haven't been online since ages. At least about a month or so. Fine to some of you that may not be long. But it's been a long long time for me. Cos i don't have my comp with me. But i'm glad it wasn't with me anyway or else i'd spend time there and less time on other stuffs. Even without comp i'm choking up my throat, i couldn't imagine the consequences having my comp with me.
I guess this was the busiest and fastest sem i'd been through. Seriously busy. Firstly, assignments and homeworks, tests, and quizes are unavoidable. Then I even stick my nose into the Robocon team. Though i may have insufficient time on my studies but i think the experiences gained from Robocon was equally as valuable. Joining robocon was very fun at first, building up robots, making it move, doing task, but it's also brings headaches every now and then. Sad to say we didn't do good in the competition. There was chances of winning but lady luck just wasn't with us. But anyway we learned lots of stuff and went round surveying other top seated teams, they were just fantastic and great. Lots of them actually spend lots of time and effort on it. Therefore nothing much for me to complain since we just did it in about a month whereas they did that since the last holiday. P/s I enjoyed the 6D 6N stay hehe. first nite in IOI Palm Garden Resort and the following few in Prescott Kajang. A great holiday indeed. *grins*

After back from a week of holiday then it's a week of hectic life. As it's study week a week then exam week. My schedule was super tight. Mon to Thurs a paper each day and followed by the last one on the following mon. And in during the one week study week i need to study one whole semester of work which lots of them i've been missing out partly due to robocon. But choices i have none but to study as much as i could as fast as i could. Day and night, studies studies studies. Nothing else. On exam week was worst. Morning paper, then after lunch immediately rush to library and started studying till about midnight, sleep wake up early revise, and back to exam hall. Repeated for 4 times. Almost lost sense of life. Working like a machine.

That ended 2 days ago. Immediately after my last paper, started packing up. And took a bus home on that night. And Home Sweet Home. Just in time for a public holiday. Malacca Historical Day.
