Paintball Fun!!

Seohli was recruiting ppl to go for paintball. I was hesitant at the beginning but after some thoughts I finally joined in. I wasn’t too sure of the location though seohli gave me the address there. I went over to the island before heading for paintball. I thought of probably meeting up with them somewhere along the Juru exit but somehow rather inconvenient. So o ended up wikimap the location and try my luck.
Permatang Tinggi

Wasn’t too bad though, get there based on the wikimap and when I’m almost there I saw banners of the paintball arena. I thought I lost my way when turning in to a narrow road which can only occupy a car at one time but glad I was when I saw the game field. I saw CS there being the first person and me being the 2nd person. While waiting for the rest I just stood by look around getting excited and can’t wait to play the game. It was something new for me though.

When the rest arrived we were all very excited to begin it. Before beginning, we actually need to fill in a form. Then seohli and choyyin busy were negotiating with the boss. He was quite a nice guy. The boss was quite firm with the price he offered. RM 280 for 2000 pellets. According to Pao whom I think was quite a frequent paintballer, said that the deal was pretty good. So we were satisfied and getting ready to start the action. 19 turned up including me. So seohli did her homework by dividing us into 4 teams. We were briefed a little on the safety of the games. We were provided with air guns, face mask, long sleeve army like shirts and vest for team recognition. We looked cool in those, but the smell was a little stinky.

There were few game fields there. One that we played has many obstacles like wood shelter, oil drums, trees which I think was pretty cool. We played among each team and tried our best to shoot the opponents down. It’s very exciting though as it’s real shooting and you will get shot unlike those in CS, where everything is virtual. Choyyin took me on the feet in the first game. *sob sob* So those got shot will need to move out of the field.

Another field is full of PVC type blown up tubes in various shapes and sizes. I find that field in harder and more challenging as you have less cover and more open to the opponent. So you really need to be good in shooting ppl down and prevent from being shot. Throughout the game Pao and Teng was really indeed very good shooters.
We finished our pellets but we still want for more. So another round of negotiating, purchased 1000 pellets and free 1000 pellets for birthday *kids*.

Towards the final game, everybody enter the field together. So it’s really madness with 20 person in it. Haha. Fun ! fun ! and lots of fun ! Shooting ppl is fun. Being shot is also fun. Haha. Some got shot on the head, on the face, arms, legs, and even close to *there* . That was close. I think the record holder for the receiving the most shot goes to Pao. He was like the undying Rambo always charge towards the enemy.

So all in we each had to pay RM 36 which I think wasn’t too expensive. After that we headed to Juru McD for dinner. Tired.
Guess who? should be an easy one. haha

Food, food and more food..

I was picking up Agnes after work on saturday from her new work place in Pulau Tikus. Then we went for lunch at this shop nearby. I browse around for food available and one particular stall caught my attention. Roti Babi it states. Curious i was. It sounded so not halal. Probably it's just the word. Pork bun doesn't sounds that bad right? hmm.. But roti babi just give me a sight of a pig between breads. Eww. Anyway, we looked at the menu and decided to try it.

It turned out not too bad, sort off 2 pieces of bread sticked together with some fillings ( minced pork with carrot, etc )  in it, dipped in egg and deep fried. It has a variety of fillings on the menu, pork, sambal , cheese , etc.. On the average each cost bout rm2.50 each. Not too bad.
That was side dish actually, I ordered a large spicy noodle. It tasted spicy. Just okay, but it really cost me quite a lot. rm4.50 for it. I'd prefer the "san wei mien" in nibong tebal which is larger, nicer, cheaper. Pretty much of the same.

Then in the afternoon, we went hanged around in Prangin Mall looking for a new pair of glasses which took us quite sometime before heading off to Queenbay for Dark Knight. Pretty cool movie. *clap clap* Watch it and you'll know it.

We tried the always smells good tomyam which just makes you drool whenever you pass by the shop. It's somewhere on the 4th Fl if i'm not mistaken. And they serve steamboat and noodles. We ordered a tomyam maggi and a plate of rice with pieces of deep fried fish. The tomyam was okay but the rice is kinda weird especially sauce that comes with it. Tasted like diluted tomato sauce. But it goes well with the tomyam soup. They should serve it with the soup instead. Total cost rm15+

Gosh, I'm just eating and eating and eating, nothing else. I must start going for exercise. Anybody care for a jog?
Besides, money just flows out fast... I'm broke.. Still haven't buy my books yet. sigh.

Best Rojak In Town..

I was driving down to the penang island last friday with JC n XY, and we drop off Lian at butterworth as she's going to SP. After dropping Lian off, JC suggested that we go to try out a rojak nearby. So off we went.

I've tried quite a number of rojak from various places. But i think this is the most unique and unbeatable one. It has 2 stalls there selling the same type of rojak. The typical rojak that we eat are a plate of mixture of fruits or other stuffs with mouth watering rojak sauce covering it with some ground peanut on it.

The one thing about this stall is that they provide unlimited amount of sauce. They serve by the satay celup style or more familiar to those from other places , Lok Lok style. They place a variety of fruits, yau char kuai, fishballs, quill eggs and sotongs. You can select at your own liking. Next we have 2 bowls of rojak sauce, spicy and non-spicy. The kind lady even added on lots of ground peanuts in them for us. The taste of fishballs covered with rojak sauce all around is just superb. That's what I call the best rojak. Pretty much of the stuff goes along well. I ended up eating almost 10 sticks of them. Each cost 40cents , even a small cup of liong fun after that also just cost the same.

Bout RM4 for the best rojak is definitely worthwhile.

isn't it just mouth watering?

Tao, Juru

Tao, a familiar place, but not so familiar. It's my second time there so i could roughly imagine what to expect ( food wise ) This time we had about 15 of us so we could actually order more stuff and more variety of it. So the whole night was like Food , Food, and more Food and even more Food!! I was stuffed up to my throat by the end of the day. I think for a big group outing it's quite a fun place but not for a 2 person outing ( if u know what i meant, *grins* ).
We reached about 6. Maybe earlier. Started ordering like there's no tomorrow. The food this time actually came faster than our mouth could handle. But we still manage to keep up to the pace. Haha.
*In the manager's mind : Damn, we are sure getting a huge loss tonight. *

I skipped a little on the food part which Choyyin had put up on her blog.
*it's time for me to change a camera*

Discussing over *seriously* how to eat the amount worth.

In between commercial break, Cheezzz

Evil grins, wonder what in his mind

Gosh, what were they up to? Can i have a peek too?
sorry i hadn't had time to photoshop it. so just assume the boxes are *there* la.

After eating, definitely it's time to take a nap. Zzz...

I wonder what have they captured?

Left : trying to catch a pic
Right : trying to pose

Final Year Project!!

Well i've just read up choyýin's complaints and worries about FYP. I guess everybody's worrying about it which includes me. Some people trying to implement some online system and making us their white mice. I think this shouldn't be the way. Previously topics were selected by students and they can approach the lecturers and consult them about the topics and so on. I think that would enable us to actually have more understanding of what we will be doing for the coming 2 semester. HELLO!! this is final year project which is onsidered the most important project throughout our 4 years of studies in the university not any minor assignment or project. Why put our FYP at stake to test on their *sure to fail system*?
Their reason is that students would tend to choose lecturers rather than topics of their choice. Well i think this shows that students are smart enough to worry of themselves and choose wisely. Besides if all the lecturers were good enough there wouldn't be such problem occuring. And they are doing the selection by pointer priority which the student with the best pointer gets the first priority. Piece of crap i would say. However what's been arranged by the school, we'll still need to follow. Just hope for the best. I wish everybody the best too.

Pure boring..

It's been almost 24 hours since i'm back from malacca. Got stuck back in this campus. Gotta take a morning bus back as i din't manage to purchase any night tickets. So here i am back early. One thing i dun really like about taking morning bus is that it's very hard to sleep. though i slept most of my way but still i was awaken a few times. Unlike night buses which i can really sleep from the moment i step into the bus right up till the parit buntar bus station. Anyway this time wasn't as bad as the previous time which took a very much longer time as the bus stop for a very long time in kl. (bad experience, Only take the normal buses KKKL)
My trip back home got me a short break and shifted some stuff back which includes a cupboard and an iron both for agnes' usage in her newly shifted place. One thing that din't come back with me is my dear lappy. I sent it for servicing but (they are very slow in doing their job) I can only get it back on mon. Luckily i had Ryan helping me to transport it back. Else i'll be more miserable till the next time i go back home.
Life without my lappy is horrible especially when the first thing i need to do when i came back was to register online for my final year project. Then i need to print lots of stuffs, search for online resources, notes, and not forgetting as entertainment, watch movie, chatting and blogging. I need to last till Ryan's back. Counting down...
Luckily ... i still have my mobile with me. I can go 3g. though the connection a little slow but still i manage to do some of my stuff online( most importantly registration). However i'll be stopping the service soon as it's a little expensive to maintain since i already have internet service in my room.
Can't wait to have my lappy back..

Back in SH3052

I kinda miss the house i stayed in penang during training. It not may not be big ( 2 rooms ) but it feels cosy and comfortable. It's quite fully equipped, has sofa, tv and an aquarium too. Hehe. Feels just like home.
Morning view from my window there

Now I'm back in my 3person room hostel. which still looks the same as 4person room. Don't know what's the point of it. Probably so they can charge you more. I'm staying at the ground floor though. I'm worried of ppl coming in grabbing stuff and also not forgetting *cute little kitty* who might come pay their visit. Feels kinda hot lately. I wonder if it's the weather or my room.

End of Training, Beginning of Studies Again

Finally the long waited 11 weeks of training is over. But towards the last week, I wish it could be more than just 11 weeks. I'm beginning to start enjoying my training but yet it has come to an end. I've really learned quite a lot from this not very big company. With the guidance of my supervisor, a man with few words but i've learned lots from him. Everyone in this company is quite friendly and nice. Even the once very serious, cold blooded looking manager, always seems to be busy and occupied wasn't as bad as it seems. Only towards the last week we manage to interact a with him by presenting to him what we've been doing for the past few weeks. Serious discussion, and questions & answers, was a little scary at first though. But it all went well.

During my training in the company, i'd been interacting with several workers which includes some operators and machinist, most of them were very nice people though. I've also learned quite a handful from these people, their jobs may look simple and but being in their position myself has given me a different view of their job.

Getting dirty is unavoidable in this company. I smelled like grease and coolant everyday after work. But i kinda start missing the smell of it. However 11weeks is really short, but that's the time i have in the company. I really enjoyed my training period in the company, although there are some boring times but on the overall was enjoyable. It wasn't as scary as i thought in the first place. Hehe.

What's over is over. I need to start to adapt to yet another new campus life, My final year. I hope everything would be great though i'm already starting to worry about lots of stuff.
  • Shifting - done ( tiring )
  • Course - Registered ( online )
  • FYP Title - Still reviewing ( have my choice of title in mind )

I just hope everything goes smoothly as usual for my final year.

Life Is Complicated

The more you think it is perfect,
The more you know it is not perfect.

The less problem you hope to face,
The more problem will come to you.

When you think you have just solved a problem,
Another problem will started hitting on you harder still.

When you think you know a lot,
You will find out that you are much stupider.

When you think that you have learn a lot,
You will find out that you know the least.

When you think that you are very lucky,
Bad luck will start coming you way.

When you start enjoying your life,
You will need to start a new one all over again.

When you think you will lead a simple life,
Things will just gets complicated.
