It's been a long long long time..

Finally I blogged. It's been such a long time. Busy? a little. Bad Connection? a little. Lazy? a little. It's just a mixture of everything. I know I shouldn't be doing this at this time as I should be focusing more on my thesis instead. But, whatever. Else i dunno when i'll ever blog again. I must make sure that I blog this time.
Je dois blog.
Lots of things have been happening since my last post. I've been quite sick the other time. Seriously. But that was sometime ago. Just a quick post to sum up all. I'm stuffing all pictures in order to reduce the words used. hehe.

CNY shopping for tidbits at this little old shop by the river. They do have various kind from peanuts, kuaci, asam to all sorts of jeruk you ever wanted. They open till late night during the last week before CNY.

Annual house visiting and we usually end up at this house without fail. Haha. It's the time of the year when I actually get to meet lots of my friends, ex-classmates, not so friends etc.

Homemade steamboat @ Agnes' place with her family ( and the little nephew ). Steamboat for CNY is just great.

Some lighting display during the CNY by the Malacca river displaying various lattern type display of a big red dragon, A' famosa, Clocktower, and various other landmarks in Malacca. They've actually developed the place since I last went there which was way long ago and has nothing nice. It's just behind the big Ship Museum or some called it the pirate ship or whatever. They are still developing that area. More stalls, cafe, lightings etc. It's good to visit once in a while but I'm kinda frust with the hectic jam in town due to all these. The traffic is just madness esp during holiday season.

My dad and three little sisters with the A'famosa like display at the back.

Just random photo.

Then gatherings of U6Alphalians. Not all attended but considerably satisfactory. My ex monitor who shifted to Ipoh came back specially for that event with his *ahem. So nice of him. He's the best monitor ever.

The place was okay, food wasn't that good, the people were terrific.

Some CNY decors and performance in Queensbay. I think the decors were great.

My half day trip to Kulim and also to 'bai nian' @ tyng's place. She brought us around & ate lots of food ( the 'pi pa' duck is great ). Just a bit bad for the throat. Hehe.

@ tyng's place with a baby boy her mom babysits. He is just too CUTE. I feel like pinching him on the cheek. He's a tv addict cos he can stare at the tv and just ignore anyone else.

CNY is never complete without these. Pokers and $$. I had a number of round at weihoe's place. If not mistaken several days in a row. I lost some, won some, so it is almost neutral.

Random shot, my soursop tree finally bore fruits. Too bad I did not get to taste it.

A partial solar eclipse which I caught.

Valentine's Day with self cooked food and a bottle of Red Grape Sparkling Juice. =)

Food that I've prepared.

Heinz cream of mushroom.

And the lovely hearts I made specially for Agnes. Je t'aime beaucoup. Hehe. =P

Hanged out at Egate. I wonder if Ryan is trying to shoot too. From a 'different' angle.

Went for lunch @ Food Loft, Gurney. They have japanese, korean, local and western cuisine to choose from. Not too bad I would say but slightly on the more expensive side but for the location and ambience I guess not too bad.

A very big bowl of ais kacang. Not very delicious though but I can still accept that.

Food's served.

Inside Food Loft.

Mechanical Pool Party.
Contributed by Ryan. Great party. Everybody got wet except 'some' lucky ones.

Fuel Smart Campaign organised by the school of mass communication and we took part by exhibiting some of our projects in the Engine's Lab.
It's where the spark starts. Hehe. I think. No further comment till more info and permission granted.

Even little Maximus ( if i'm not wrong ) is there at Queensbay to support daddy ( Prof. ).
He's cute too right?

Adhoc visit by Kiat, Pei, Wen. Lightings of Kek Lok Si.

Lovely gurls.

More of KLS

Po Pi, Po Pi.

=)

Stranded in Butterworth bus station early in the morning as the bus refuse to enter Parit Buntar. These bus services.

St. Patrick's Day Celebration in Autocity. Not as great as the one in KL. Penang is lack of some active crowd.

KFC obsession.

Celebrating birthdaysssssssssss, KF, weihoe, shirley etc with 'big fish big meat'. If u get what i mean. Hehe

Oops. Jh camwhoring. =P

Finally, phew. It's time to rush on my thesis. Thursday submission. Need to find Prof and get my corrected drafts. I'm sure there'll be lots of work to be done.
This weekend in Genting. Woo hoo. Looking forward.
Exams just round the corner. Studies need to be done.

Au revoir.

Immune system down

After the long CNY holidays, finally I'm back in campus again. Had lots of fun, met lots friends that I've not seen for a while, visited quite a number of houses, went clubbing, laze at home, ate lots of food and grow fat, had gatherings, gamble a little, win some money, lose some money. One week seemed so short but glad enough.
Yesterday night seemed long. Had a tough night. I guess I'm officially sick. =( Had some headaches, fever and sorethroat. Even my whole body seems so tired. After dinner, went over to friend's place and gambled a little, luckily I followed Pao back cos the rest came back almost 4. As I reached back my room, my head just seemed so heavy that I just fell into bed immediately. Woke up several times during the night. Struggling to pass the night. Here I'm feeling a little better but still feeling the head banging around. Trying all meants to get myself back.
Anyway, CNY was great. Still trying to enjoy the last few days of it.

Just wanna take this chance to wish all my friends a very Happy Chinese 牛 Year! Year of the Ox. Also, 身体健康, 万事如意, 马到成功, 学业进步..

The long anticipated CNY has finally arrived. Day 1 was rather nice. Went visiting some relatives and had lunch. By the time we were back in the afternoon, I was really tired. I think partly due to the hot weather. Hope it rains later at night. Time to rest at home waiting for others to come. Hehe.

It just sucks..

I mean the connection. It just makes you feel like burning down the bloody campus. Nowadays I'm so not into onlining, surfing, chatting, blogging, plurking, facebooking, friendstering, and just everything else. Guess what? Thanks to the "wonderful" internet connection provided by the hostel.
When the line is good ( in the morning ) they block everything. I mean everything. They even block plurk now. =( if my karma drops I'll blame it on the connection.
When the line is bad + horrible + super slow ( at night ) you can access to more sites.
These type of combination will just result to ==> not online

I wonder if one day they'll blog blogspot. I won't be surprise even if they do.

Mechanic Night ( beach party? pool party? gathering? ) on Friday.

Brand New Year!!!

Yes indeed.. It's over. 2008 is over. I spent my last few moments of 2008 having dinner with my fellow coursemates in Swensons, Autocity. About 30 of us. Then we countdown to the brand new year with TVB artiste, Ron Ng. Pretty handsome looking guy. Though i don't quite fancy his singing.
Too late to regret over anything now. Just looking forward hoping this year will be better. Hope to fill this year with more exciting events. Among some events to be looking forward and take note :

  1. Firstly would definitely the CNY celebration which is just around the corner, less than a month. Then my last semester in final year. Hope everything would be smooth.

  2. FYP, studies, hope I'll put more effort and work on them more, waste less time.

  3. Graduation! Big event or maybe not that big after all.

  4. Vietnam trip. I'm so looking forward.

  5. Work or continue studies? tough one. have yet to have a final answer.

  6. Hangout more with friends b4 i each goes our separate ways.

  7. Ecomonic crissis. Need to take note on that.
Well, that's pretty much I can think of for the mean time. Looking forward to fill up more on the list.
Back home for the first weekend of the year. Hehe. Not feeling too good. Having some allergies. =( Wonder what I've ate , touch, or been in contact with. Sigh. Hope this itches goes off soon before I start looking like an ape scratching all over. That's it for the kickstart post of the year.
Happy New Year to all. Wish everyone will have a great year ahead. I know it's not going to be an easy one but I'm sure we'll get through it. ^_^

Belated Merry Christmas!!

Ho! ho! ho! says the old man in the red suit, riding on his sleigh on night of christmas eve, climbing in through the chimneys and giving out presents to those who have been nice. So have you been good this year?

A long christmas weekend which I spent in Penang this year. I haven't been doing much besides relaxing, squeezing into crowds and shopping. I spent my christmas eve having dinner at Paddington, in Queenbay followed by Sakae Sushi after that. There isn't any countdown event in Queenbay, we just hanged around till bout 11pm and a little tired and just countdown by ourselves at home looking at fireworks from the window.

On christmas, Agnes and I planned to go Queensbay for shopping but the crowd and queue of cars were horrendous. I couldn't believe that almost all the parking around Queensbay were FULL. Some even waited for cars to leave. We could not. So we ended up in PISA as they were having some mega sales by Metrojaya. Clothings for men, ladies, kids, kitchenware, handbags, cosmetics and lots more. We ended up looking for cheap bargains as CNY is just around the corner. After shopping for almost 3 or 4 hours, we finally satisfied with what we've in hand. I couldn't believe myself when the cashier total up everything. It's almost RM250. I guess this is the first time ever I shopped this much. Hmm. I did had quite a lot stuffs though. It's quite reasonable with the amount of items I had though. Just not used to have such large amount while shopping. Hehe. 2 Tshirts, 2 s/s shirts, belt, pillow, jeans, and I guess the rest were all Agn's cosmetics. I know I shouldn't have spent so much but i guess a little too late. I think I've completed my CNY shopping. So I'll stop my shopping spree for the time being at least.

I guess Christmas this year is just shopping shopping and more shopping. I'm tired.. after so many days of shopping. hehe. Enuf of longwinded stories. Just wan to wish all my friends and family a very Merry Christmas!!!

Winter Solstice Festival!!

As the end of the year gets nearer, its time for festivals again. First comes the Winter Solstice, followed by Christmas and New Year. I'm not sure when is the exact date but I'm sure it's around within these few days. You'll be able to see Tong Yuen being sold everywhere. Nice nice. And they come with a variety of colours, sizes and taste.

I've decided to do my own Tong yuen. It isn't that difficult though. Just need some effort and time. It's pretty simple and you can make it to your own liking. I went google some recipe for this and I've found out that there are actually various type of tong yuen that can be made. Different style of cooking. It could be sweet, salty, hot, cold, wet or dry. I've decided to make the sweet ones as i'm more used to it than other types. All you need is just glutinous rice flour + water for the dough and some colouring, and for the syrup it'll be brown sugar or gula melaka ( preferably ) + ginger + pandan leaves. 1kg of glutinous rice flour i bought. I did it at Agnes' place where few of her friends all came over and join in the fun. We even decided to make some with fillings. And we had, peanut butter, ground peanuts, sweet corn, kidney bean, and even wasabi nuts? Haha. For the 'lucky' ones.

For dinner, it was kinda spontaneous, as it was lucky that Yin was in the island and so I tumpang her car back. So we manage to join Ryan, GY, YY, YKen for dinner at Tambun just to celebrate Dong Zhi.

These ends the one month holiday and will officially have classes tomorrow at 9am. Looking forward to Christmas.

p/s : will try to post more photos next time since Flickrs just got BLOCKED in campus... @#$%@!@#$%!@#$%..

Another break from work

Life at home is just great. Hehe.. no work, no stress, just relax. Too bad it's just gonna last till mon. Will be back in campus on tuesday. FYP was also stressing me out like i said earlier. Supervisor already warned us to complete 95% of most work this holiday. So I guess that really meant business. Gotta get things going and running. Anyway i'll have till tues before i start to trouble about it. hehe.
Back home been lazing at home. Din't really go anywhere. Probably I'm just too lazy. Oops. But I did met up with some of them though. The usual few, not many of them but just a handful.
Went out shooting with Ryan, lepaking and dotaing with the guys, met up with Boon, went for wedding dinner of Rajesh's sis, saw a bunch of ppl there. Besides that I'm pretty much at home lazing around enjoying the nice weather for hibernating. Hehe. And lazing is not the only reason of me stuck at home, but the massive jam in town that kept me away from those hot spots which is no where else to go but home.

Work Work Work!

Life is getting repetitive lately. Lots of work load waiting to be done. I wished I can split myself into more of ME. & having unlimited time for me to do more work. Moreover I'm going back this weekend. Happy I am. But that means that I'll have lesser working time which is not too good for my works. But I can't not go home. I can't not have rest. Haha. Work is work. Going home is still a must. So I'll need to speed things up a little.

Project approaching due date. Done, redo, over and over again to a point that some things seems to begin from zero. Probably partly due to bad planning. Maybe partly due to under specifications of components provided to us. Probably due to taken things for granted. Too much of possibilities or I should say excuses. By hook or by crook things need to get done and working. Arms we have broken a few, and so does cutting up bodies. Making things complex probably isn't helping much. But the best solution might just be simplest one.

FYP is another part of my workload. Probably I'll write about it tomorrow. Bedtime. zzz.

Holidayzz!!

Happy am I over the sem break. But here I am stuck in campus. It's been 3 days in campus and I've been busy for the whole 3 days. Busy with Robocon, FYP and another project with the muzium. Running around the school, working and working. Well I've expected this anyway. At least I fully utilise my holidays and get my FYP going. Else you know who will start chasing after me. He already did.
Though busy in the morning at least I still have time for sports and some extra relaxing time at night to watch some movies and have a good sleep. I'm still trying to keep up to the work load. Looking forward going home in bout 2 weeks time.

Exam's Over

Finally the long waited day has arrived. Although it's just 3 papers for me but had to struggle it through the whole 3 weeks was kinda horrible. I've been hanging around in the library for most of the time during this period. It's been like a routine going to the library, lunch, library, dinner, library and sleep. Finally I've broken out of these countless cycles. The days of being nerd are finally over. Or at least for the time being.

However, it'll be a new starting of another holiday. But I doubt there's much holiday as I'll need to work on my FYP, supervise the juniors in Robocon, and lots stuff more. I'll be spending most of my time in campus rather than home. Well I'll need to get my work done or else someone will start kicking my S. You know who. Hehe. Not much of a after exam celebration but at least went Jusco in S.Prai with Lian, Phang, Yin and Li and had McD and BigApple and stroll around the new shopping mall which I've not really explore yet. It's nice going shopping with a more relax mind. Finally can format my 'harddisk' from all the downloaded, OM, Aircond, Measurements that i've been downloading these few weeks. Hehe at least compressed them and put them in one small corner to minimize the usage of space. LOL.

Most of the people will be going back soon or had gone back except me. I'll need to kickstart my work at least for a few weeks when there's sight of progress then at least I can have the excuse of taking a break and sneak back home.

Well that's life, dun complaint about it, just live with it.

Happy Holidays!!
